The mission of Bloomfield Christian School is to teach children Biblical truths and classical academics from a Christian worldview so they may serve as bold and obedient ambassadors for Jesus Christ.
- BCS Mission Statement
Bloomfield Christian School is a K-12th grade, interdenominational, classical-curriculum school founded in 1994 as Christian Leadership Academy. The school is located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, in the center of Oakland County and minutes from many suburbs as well as Detroit. Bloomfield Christian’s average enrollment is 150 students. BCS is a classical and Christian school dedicated to teaching students to know, reason, discern, and apply Truth using Scripture and the classical liberal arts, thereby assisting parents to fulfill their God-given responsibility of child training.
We employ the Trivium, a time tested and “classical” approach to education which focuses on three stages of a child’s learning: Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric. These three unique phases flow “with the grain” of the child as he/she develops and matures. In the Grammar stage, children are able to memorize a large number of important facts, and so they learn the grammar of each subject using chants, songs, rhymes and repetition. Later, they move to the Logic stage in which they begin to question and reason through the nature of things, and so we cultivate the art of building a proper and logical argument. Finally, they begin to express themselves in the Rhetoric stage, and so we equip them with the tools they need to write persuasively and to speak with clarity and eloquence. The Grammar School consists of kindergarten through 6th grades, and the Upper School consists of Logic students (7th-9th grades) and Rhetoric students (10th-12th grades).
BCS graduates consistently score well above average on college testing and attend the colleges of their choice, but more importantly they enter the world with a thorough Biblical worldview, understanding the sovereign work of God in all things.

The Kingdom of God is all about relationships and within the family there are many relationships; Husband to wife, parent to child and sibling to sibling. At Family Face Ministries we encourage and equip the body of Christ by pointing families to the instructions on living victoriously in God’s written Word, the Bible. It is our God appointed mission to restore, strengthen and preserve the traditional family unit that God intended in His original design.
We are continually developing and compiling an excellent Bible-based collection of family resources. We share these resources through conference teachings, seminars, curriculums, the World Wide Web and other electronic and broadcast media. It really is our desire at Family Face Ministries to help families live out biblical family lifestyles in the midst of an anti-family and even hostile society.
At Family Face Ministries, we believe that Restoring the Face of the Family is our special assignment on earth. It is our desire to see God restore, strengthen, preserve and bless your family in every way.

Macomb Christian Schools offers academic courses that are comprehensive, college preparatory, competitive and taught by certified, Christian teachers. Over 90% of our graduates are accepted to their first college of choice and our ACT and other Standardized test scores are consistently strong. We believe a well balanced education is important, so Macomb Christian Schools offers a fine arts program that includes choir, band, handbells, and worship band* (*for secondary students). Languages, art, and computer, as well as extracurricular activities such as drama and robotics are also available
Our Philosophy
The educational philosophy of the Macomb Christian Schools is based on a God-centered view that all truth is God’s truth, and that the Bible is the inspired and the only infallible authoritative Word of God which contains this truth. God created all things and sustains all things. Therefore, the universe and man are dynamically related to God and have the purpose of glorifying Him. Because man is a sinner by nature and choice, he cannot, however, glorify or know God. He can do this only by choosing God’s free gift of salvation through His Son, Jesus Christ, thereby committing his life to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Our aim socially is to provide a Christian perspective on the total worldview from which will come a balanced personality and a proper understanding and acceptance of a person’s role in life at home, at work, at play and at worship – all grounded in the Christian concept of love.
This philosophy focuses our energies to promote high academic standards while helping the students to achieve skills in creative and critical thinking using the best integrated curriculum available. Our instructional program will enable the students to pursue their educational and/or career aspirations.
Our responsibility for the student encompasses the spiritual, mental, intellectual, physical, social and emotional areas. Therefore, biblical principles are integrated into all areas of study and activities.
This philosophy dictates that we work closely with parents in every phase of the student’s development, always offering assistance in understanding the purposes of MCS.
The Philosophy of Christian Education for Macomb Christian Schools shall be the guiding tool to apply Biblical principles to teaching practices. All philosophies of subjects, policies of the school, curriculum materials, and teaching methods shall conform to the Philosophy of Christian Education. The Board of Education and staff members must understand and apply the Philosophy of Christian Education in their decision making in Board meetings and in their daily work for Macomb Christian Schools. Employees shall be committed to fulfilling the principles outlined in the Philosophy of Christian Education.
