Kenneth E. Gabriel opened Comprehensive Accounting Services in July of 1976. After nearly eighteen years in various accounting and management positions in industry, including General Motors, Chrysler Corporation, Demco, and Indian Head, Ken joined the growing Comprehensive network of franchised accounting offices offering accounting, bookkeeping, taxes and business consultation services for small businesses.
His work in industry had taught him the value of accounting in managing a business efficiently and profitably. He knew the difference between ‘doing accounting’ and actually running a business. While many accountants in private practice were good accountants, they lacked the management experience that connected the numbers with the running of the business. His goal was to bring the experience and knowledge he had gained in industry to the small business owner. After all, even though they did not have the budget for a whole accounting department they still needed the same level of advice.
In just a few short years Ken had one of the fastest growing and largest offices in the franchise network. He was, and still is, active in the continued improvement of the services offered our clients through involvement with the franchisor on committees, which review and develop improvements to the network. He has earned numerous awards for his service to the offices in our network.
But no award has been as welcome as the continued relationship we have with our clients. We are all proud of the fact that our clients stay for a long time-a testament of the quality of the service we offer. In fact, we still have the very first client that signed up for our service over 31 years ago!
Our accounting and tax staff reflects the value Ken puts on practical management experience. All of them have backgrounds in industry and management, which gives our whole office a special edge when consulting with our clients on their problems. I consider myself a risk manager whose job is to help clients mitigate the various financial risks they face. Besides normal pastimes, I have a deep passion for financial literacy within the under-served and faith-based communities.
I have a B.S.B.A in Finance and have worked my entire professional career in the investments/financial services industry. The majority of my tenure has been as a wealth advisor, but I also have experience in operations and estate resolution.
